Patient term description
An abnormality of the heart's rhythm (also called 'arrhythmia'). It may beat too slowly, too quickly or irregularly. The severity ranges from minor inconvenience or discomfort to life-threatening. They may feel like a fluttering, pounding or racing heartbeat.
